The book is in very good + condition with no marks or inscriptions, with light bumping to the top edge of the front cover, and light wear to the corners.
The dustwrapper is in very good + condition and is not price clipped, with light wear and loss to the top/base of the spine and corners. There is a small piece missing from the base of the rear cover. The wrapper comes with an unattached clear protective cover.
The covers, wrapper and four colour plates are all illustrated by Hilda Boswell. The book also contains numerous line drawings by many of the authors regular illustrators, including Grace Lodge, Dorothy Hall and Eileen Soper
