Rebound in green cloth, with new end papers and the original gilt pictorial designs retained and attached to both covers as per the original binding.
The book is in very good condition, with an inscription to the contents page dated 1885, with the former owner book stamp to the fep. The book has a slight forward lean. The tissue guard remains but has a tear and has ghosted onto the title page. The pages are clear and bright with only very occasional foxing. The page edges are discoloured.
